"Garrett: The Boy Beneath The Bandages" is a series of black and white images accompanied by short multimedia films revealing the personal story of a twelve-year old boy and the everyday challenges he faces due to the rare genetic skin disease, Epidermolysis Bullosa. Hermann’s intimate photographs unravel the bandages in order to shed light on this unpublicized disease.

Interested in brushing up on your drawing skills?

The Academy of Art University School of Fine Art invites all Painting and Illustration alumni to a Drawing Workshop during the fall 2009 semester. Beginning on September 9 and continuing on Wednesday evenings through December 9 from 7 – 9:50 p.m. at 60 Federal, Room 404, the workshop offers 5, 10, and 20 minute nude poses over a 3 hour period. Advanced sign-up is not necessary to attend; simply bring a photo ID to enter the building. For more information email alumni@academyart.edu.
